This CD (which adds "Too Marvelous for Words" to the original seven-song LP program) was the recording debut of Kitty Margolis, a talented bop-based singer who is both an expert scatter and a constant improviser. With fine backup from pianist Al Plank, bassist Scott Steed and drummer Vince Lateano, Margolis is in excellent early form on a set of high-quality standards with the highpoints including "I Concentrate on You," "All Blues" and "All the Things You Are." ~ Scott Yanow
