After hearing a solo album from every other member of the Staten Island-based Wu-Tang Clan, it was only a matter of time until U-God delivered his own GOLDEN ARMS REDEMPTION. The 15-track cornucopia of hip-hop delights delivers the essence of the original Wu-Tang flavour, complete with battle rhymes and gritty RZA beats. Various Wu members, including Raekwon and Ghostface, drop in to lend a rhyme or two. On the infectious "Rumble", lyrical masterminds Inspectah Deck and Method Man add their unique talents to U-God's debut. The production is very reminiscent of early Wu-Tang material, but U-God's personal twist on beats, rhymes, and life manages to stay up to date. Though U is probably the least known Wu-Tang member, he makes his mark definitively with GOLDEN ARMS REDEMPTION.|
