Celebrating the eccentricities of Englishness through an eclectic fusion of influences ranging from Krautrock to Motown to new wave, their lush, psychedelic, shoegazing pop has won them fans both here and across the pond. クークスの出現で注目を浴びているブライトンの隠し球。ビューティフル・ニュー・ボーン・チルドレンと同じくドミノからリリースされた彼らの3作目は、今こそ陽の目を見るべき傑作だ。UKらしいジメジメとした質感にブルースを添加したサウンドの整合性は、バンドの充実した筋力を裏づける力強さに満ちている。現行シーンとの同時代性は希薄ながら、昨今の新人勢とも肩を並べて光り輝ける正統派。そう断言してもいい。

UKらしくジメっとした曲にモリッシーっぽいボーカルで、少し大人な雰囲気が漂う。
悪くはないが、あまり記憶に残らない１枚。
