Formed in the late 1990s, the Murder City Devils combined rough punk vocals with clean pop production under a basic rock & roll formula. The group united lead vocalist Spencer Moody, guitarist Dan Galluci, and bassist Derek Fudesko with a group of rotating players over the next few years. In 2001, the band decided to split, and gave their fans a final concert farewell at the Showbox theatre in Seattle on Halloween night. In addition to Moody, Galluci, and Fudesko (who would go on to find success with Pretty Girls Make Graves), the lineup consisted of Nate Manny on guitars and vocals, Nick Dewitt on keyboard, and Coady Willis on drums. THE END: FINAL SHOW HALLOWEEN 2001 documents this final hoorah and includes 18 songs from throughout the band's relatively short-lived, but successful career. Songs include "Rum to Whiskey," "I Drink the Wine," and the popular hit "Dance Hall Music" from the band's 1997 self-titled debut album.
