The performer's emotional shadings vary from her soft intonation on "How Deep Is the Ocean" to the conversational good humor and carnival spirit of "Ring Them Bells." But she shines brightest when she takes the Ebb and Kander compositions like "Maybe This Time" and "Cabaret" and belts them with a fervor that tugs at the listener's heartstrings.
