Formed in the late 1950s, Lil Bob & the Lollipops became a fixture on the Louisiana party and club circuit by the mid-'60s, playing a rocking mixture of Cajun-inflected soul and R&B. The title track is Bob's signature tune and something of a Louisiana standard that has been covered by many diverse artists. Thankfully, this 26-track compilation (made from the original masters) makes his previously hard to find material widely accessible for the first time since the '60s.
