After composing hits for Julieta Venegas, Diego Torres, and Paulina Rubio, Coti Sorokin keeps on trying to build a successful solo career. And he's got the songs and the melodies to achieve it. This sophomore effort is as sunny and radio-friendly as his debut. The songs are polished, while the production is at once precise and austere, but as a whole the album lacks the heart and soul present in Coti's deeply admired and influential Andres Calamaro. Most of the album's tracks are potential hits, like "Otra Vez," "Bailemos" or "Soledad." It also includes a new version of "Oleada" as a bonus track. This song was co-written with Julieta Venegas and was originally included in her album Si. Basically you will find good, although not great, pop/rock songs, ideal "to learn and sing." ~ Ivan Adaime
