Hans-Joachim Roedelius is a musical genius. He takes risks that few others would dare to take. He pushes the limits constantly. This is avant-garde on a grand scale. The sound design is obscure, original, new, and unique, with no dissonant or "dysfunctional" passages. Roedelius has forged a new sound that is comfortable and friendly. Combining synths, guitars, saxophones, a viola, flutes, a koto, and a "hackbrett," the soundscapes are smooth, delicate, and graceful. This CD ranks right up there with Roedelius' best work with Brian Eno. It will also appeal to fans of Robert Rich, Riley Lee, Robert Scott Thompson, and Vidna Obmana.
