Brian Tyler's score for Paparazzi is an appropriate mix of urgent and menacing, playing off the emotions driving both the film's main character -- an action star dogged by the titular photogs -- and his nemeses' parasitic ugliness. "Cat and Mouse" matches sinister string swells to a slight electronic percussion patter; later, its changes are punctuated by crashing drums. "The Break In" repeats some of "Cat and Mouse"'s characteristics, while selections like "Silent Anger" and "Realization" shimmer in their respective moments. Tyler (Frailty; Darkness Falls) has a good feel for a modern-style score. While he utilizes both the Northwest Sinfonia and City of Prague Philharmonic, he builds a moody, steel blue sheen into the proceedings by adding subtle electronic percussion and synthesizers. ~ Johnny Loftus
