Though it officially disbanded in 1972, the pioneering British folk-rock group Pentangle began a series of periodic revivals a decade later without founding member John Renbourn, releasing albums throughout the '80s and '90s. This two-disc set features the band's founding members, the singer Jacqui McShee, and the legendary folk guitarist Bert Jansch, accompanied by a core of veteran folk-rockers. The1993 studio album ONE MORE ROAD includes standards such as "Willy of Winsbury" and "Are You Going to Scarborough Fair" as well as the more contemporary worldbeat of "Somali." The vibrant 1994 live set features band classics such as "Reynardine" and "Sally Free and Easy," as well as a beautiful a cappella McShee vocal on "When I Was in My Prime."|
