Jack Drag picks up the artistic pieces of where his critically acclaimed debut, 1998's Dope Box, left off with his particular knack for shaping American trad rock into abstract post-grunge purity. No big studio rock here, Jack Drag makes music flow like it should without all the fancy production; light string arrangements dress over flaky plucking acoustics, simplistic sounds similar to Sparklehorse's Mark Linkous, Eels frontman E, and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy.
