och issues four Cradle of Filth recordings in a slipcase box. Fans are likely to have all of this material, but it's still a safe holiday bet for anyone who is even remotely into this band. The big bonus here is that along with the original editions of Midian and the classic Dusk and Her Embrace, the buyer snags the limited edition of Cruelty and the Beast, with the bonus-disc EP with the remix version of "Lustmord and Wargasm," "Black Metal," "Hallowed by They Name" "Sodomy and Lust," and the remix of "Twisting Further Nails." The strange thing is the inclusion of Lovecraft & Witch Hearts, which was a kind of overview of 1996-200, with a second disc of remixes, covers, and bonus cuts from special editions, singles, compilations, and more. One might have done better with another studio album included. However, the price being what it is, and the fact that not everyone wanted to spring for this baby at first, it might be a n ice thing to have in the abattoir for atmosphere. ~ Thom Jurek|
