Offering up sweet harmonies over hot contemporary R&B/hip-hop flavored tracks, Before Dark sound more like music business vets than rookies. The first single, "Come Correct," is a bouncy mid-tempo blazer sprinkled with street spice. Produced by The Characters (Boyz II Men, 702, SWV), the track sets the standard for DAYDREAMIN'. Though various producers worked on the project, there is an impressive consistency to the album; 10 songs are mixed with a few quick interludes. Producers Big Baby ("Always On My Mind"), Greg Curtis ("Daydream") and Lil' Mo ("Back Around") create some of the albums strongest tracks; a major highlight is "Push-N-Shove."
