Emerging from the Toronto music scene by way of Sault Saint Marie, Treble Charger continues mining the vein of melodic, scrunge-pop they have become so adept at tossing around. Like fellow Canadians Sloan and American garage rockers the Posies, Treble Charger shine in their use of harmonies and hooks on songs such as "Kareen" and "Takes Me Down." Looking and sounding somewhat like Weezer's Rivers Cuomo, melancholy-sounding lead singer Bill Priddle gives most of MAYBE IT'S ME a bittersweet aftertaste that is bound to rattle around your head long after the stereo's been shut off.
