60年代末に登場し、華々しい成功を収めたとはいえないものの、ハードロック/クラシカル/ジャズ/ソウル/ブルース/アヴァンギャルが融合したユニークなサウンドと多彩なインストでその類稀な存在感を発揮して、カルト･ファンからの強力な支持を受けた技巧派プログレッシヴ･ロック･バンド ジェントル･ジャイアント。彼らが75年アルバム『Freehand』のプロモーションの為に行ったアメリカ･ツアーから2つのショーを収録したCD2枚組みセットのライブ盤のリイシュー。10月3日NYホワイト･プレーンズのミュージック･ホールと同月28日カリフォルニア/バークレイのコミュニティ･シアターの2公演。オーディエンス･レコーディング音源を使用している為音質は良くないものの、臨場感溢れるパワフルなパフォーマンスをリアルに再現している。
