After his 1980 album SCREAM DREAM, Ted Nugent spent the next 15 years neglecting his caveman rock stylings, such as CAT SCRATCH FEVER, as he set his sights on the top of the pop-rock charts with releases like LITTLE MISS DANGEROUS, and his work with Damn Yankees. Even his trademark Byrdland guitar was put in storage during this time. But in 1995, Ted strapped his Byrdland back on, and decided he wanted to return to his raw rock roots, promptly issuing his best solo release in ages--SPIRIT OF THE WILD. Such in-your-face rockers as "Thighraceous," "Wrong Side of Town," and the title track, will bring smiles to the faces of longtime Nugent fans. There's also an older composition, "Fred Bear" (a tribute to a famous archer/hunter who is rumored to have taught Ted), that makes its first album appearance here.
