Producers: Wade Hubbard, Speech 4 Vagabound Productions, Clannad, Don Davis, Nile Rogers, Mick Stern, Ultraglide, Mickey Hart, Vangelis. The four examples of Don Davis' score, tacked on at the end of the album, are very welcome, but do come as a bit of a jarring shift from the pop-themed material that comprises the bulk of the album. The producers, however, have wisely included Vangelis' lounge-natured "Song Of The Seas" as a buffer, providing time for a little adjustment. Richie Havens works his way through a revamped Don Davis cue, "Inside Of You", doing nicely with the vocals, though the tacked-on percussion has a distinct helplessness to it. Clannad contribute an ethereal and forgettable piece, Speech does an awkward reggae take of "It's A Beautiful Day", and Mickey Hart, collaborating with Baikithi Kumalo, takes the album honors with the spooky, thumping "Alembic." Warriors Of Virtue is an intriguing moral fantasy, but the soundtrack album is pretty much business as usual. ~ Steven McDonald
