Death metal and grindcore's sound and fury are traditionally the result of the human determination to play as fast and hard as possible, but for some musicians, the limits of human soundmaking are unacceptable. Australian tech-grind visionary the Berzerker has taken extreme noise terror one step further with his industrial and electronic flourishes, piling samples on top of blinding speed and a thick crust of brutal guitar to build an impenetrable wall of corrosive, futuristic sound. DISSIMILATE is a monster of an undertaking, with unforgiving songs like "Failure" virtually breaking up into a static of evil growls and frayed circuitry.
