The Temptations: David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks, Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, Paul Williams (vocals). Originally released on Gordy #924 in August 1967. Includes liner notes by Soupy Sales. Digitally remastered by Kevin Reeves at PolyGram Studios. The Temptations moved into world of jazzy pre-rock pop, and showed that great singers can handle anything. While many soul fans were surprised that they issued an album with versions of "Ol' Man River," "Somewhere," and "Taste of Honey," they were hooked once they heard it. This recording was another indication of how much Berry Gordy wanted to show mainstream audiences that Motown acts were versatile. ~ Ron Wynn
