Debut mini-album from Glasgow boy-girl quartet, featuring Arab Strap live alumni David Gow and Adele Bethel, who cross folk and country influences (notably Johnny Cash) with the rawness and brevity of punk. Formerly released on obscure American label Ba Da Bing, this reissue comes through cult indie Domino Records, to whom the band are now signed. They have already been compared to artists as diverse as PJ Harvey, Throwing Muses, The Strokes and REM.|

あのフランツ・フェルディナンドを送り出したドミノからの次なる刺客は、昨今のモッズ～ガレージ・リヴァイヴァルとは一線を画した超個性派。きわめて単純に反復するリズム、クールなヴォーカル、贅肉を削ぎ落とした無駄のないギター、そして少しのブルース・フィーリング。複雑な曲構成はまったくなく、シンプルに徹したサウンドのようにも思えるが、すべてが同時に重なったときの爆発力で強烈な個性をアピールしている。
