Compiling funky melodies, spoken bits, radio ads, and trailers from the early-'70s heyday of stag films, Sex, Sleaze and Soul: The Sexiest, Sleaziest and Most Soulful Motion Picture Collection Ever delivers everything its glorious (albeit redundant) title promises, unearthing some of the most scorching and genuinely listenable porn soundtrack music ever created. This is the "boom-chicka-bow-wow" stuff your perverted heart craves, fusing wah-wah guitars, funky drums, and basslines the consistency of KY Jelly. It's all tongue-in-cheek, of course (at least that seems to be a tongue), but it's not too far removed from some of the more over the top blaxploitation soundtracks of the same time frame. There are 41 tracks in all, with titles that are alone worth the price of admission, among them "That Man Bolt," "Hold It Whitey," "Ready, Willing and Able," and "Trip With the Teacher." ~ Jason Ankeny|
