Sarah Connor grew up in Germany listening to sweet 1970s soul music like Marvin Gaye while cutting her teeth in countless gospel choirs. Between those two sometimes-disparate but undeniably intertwined worlds she crafted a special brand of music she dubs "green-eyed soul," a starkly sexual, dance-oriented mixture deeply rooted in pop know-how, and accentuated by Connor's powerful, multi-octave voice. SARAH CONNOR opens with breakout hit "Bounce," a simple but undeniably catchy dismissal of an unfaithful lover. From there, Sarah uses her strong, sultry voice to make it perfectly clear what topic is first and foremost on her mind with the hip-hop-infused "Let's Get Back To Bed - Boy" and the crooning, gospel-tinged "Skin On Skin." She channels Teena Marie on the gleefully sensual "One Nite Stand (Of Wolves And Sheep)" as Wyclef Jean slips in to play the Rick James role.
