Originally released on CD in 2003 and reissued as a vinyl LP in 2008, AS APPROVED BY THE COMMITTEE is a compilation of some of the best bits of the Telescopes' albums and singles from 1989's TASTE to 1991's "Celeste" and "Flying." The 14-track compilation is not a standard best-of, not least since it lacks many of the shoegazers' best-known songs, but it does hold together very well as an album, and it includes several extremely rare single sides.
