This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files. Personnel: AJ Trauth, Hilary Duff, Christy Carlson Romano, Orlando Brown, Tahj Mowry, Kyla Pratt (vocals). Like the first DISNEY MANIA, this second volume features a collection of mostly teenage pop stars singing songs made famous in Disney movies. Production-wise, most tracks differ little from these artists' regular material, so the combination of super-slick sounds and proven hit songs should please any fan of the genre. Notable deviations from the norm include a rollicking, Caribbean party-perfect version of "It's a Small World" by the Baha Men and a suitably quirky, vintage synthesizer-driven take on "Baroque Hoedown" (from ELECTRICAL PARADE) by They Might Be Giants, which echoes Moog-laden soundtracks of 1970s cinema. With a boatload of can't-miss songs performed by the best squeaky-clean young pop idols America has to offer, DISNEY MANIA 2 is one of those rare albums that should appeal to kids of all ages.
