LIVE FROM 6A: CONAN O'BRIEN will appeal not only to long-time viewers of the program but to rock fans in general. The album features a fine assortment of alternative artists, culled from among Conan's favorite live guests. Aside from scaled-down, acoustic tracks by Ani Difranco and David Bowie, the cuts remain faithful to their recorded versions. Elvis Costello, Bjork and Edwyn Collins have never sounded better, and Mathew Sweet turns in a dead-on cover of ELO's "Do Ya". All in all, this long overdue compilation of musical performances from O'Brien's late night talk show is a welcome addition to any rock lover's collection.
