Gritty urban police dramas tend to immerse themselves in dissonant, forgettable orchestral crescendos punctuated by overproduced industrial programming. In Out of Time, composer Graeme Revell experiments with tropicalia and African rhythms, creating a truly fleshed out score that transports as opposed to irritates. Borrowing the cool brass chic of Henry Mancini and the marimba-heavy technological artistry of Thomas Newman, Revell sounds loose and confident, replacing his usual excess for fun. The late-night ocean drive feel of the main theme sneaks throughout the set like a mischievous teen, waving furiously at the camera with narcissistic bravado before taking back the wheel on the reprise. While the unnecessary remixes of "Night Beat" and "Saying Goodbye," with vocals by underground rapper Mika, interrupt the chilled flow of Out of Time, Revell's polyrhythmic foray into cinematic worldbeat is a cop movie gem. ~ James Christopher Monger|

超おすすめ！！！！！！！！！最近のスコア・シーンの遊び方の気合の入り方は違いますね！！！イメージをガラリとかえたグラエム・レヴェルの今作は、イマ風ラテン・フュージョンでゴキゲン！！！！『タイムリミット』（２００３）サウンドトラック音楽　グラエム・レヴェルリミックス　ロバート・レヴェル監督　カール・フランクリン主演　デンゼル・ワシントン、エヴァ・メンデスもはや、ヒートアップしてきた、スコア・シーンのクールネス合戦！？　堅実な仕事ぶりで地道にファンを増やしていたレヴェルが、今回はなんと（おそらく息子さん？）のリミックス協力を得て、完成させたのは、クラブ／エレクトロ風味もたっぷりのラテン・フュージョン！！パーカッショニストもルイス・コンテ、アレックス・アクーニャ、レニー・カストロ、そしてパウリーニョ・ダ・コスタと超豪華メンツ勢ぞろい！！女声ヴォーカルをフィーチャーしたホットな夜のナンバーもグッド！！！　これは、来ましたレヴェル親子（多分）！おそらくカーステレオＢＧＭにも合格という、すごいスコア・サントラの登場です！！！！！！超おすすめ！！！！！！ (C)馬場敏裕
