Buoyed by a new remix of Oh LAmour and a bonus megamix CD, Hits! The Very Best of Erasure ups the ante from their previous best-of collection, 1992s Erasure Pop! The latter portion of the record contains arguably less exclamatory fare from their mid-to-late 90s records. However, standout tracks from that period like Freedom and In My Arms, as well as the bulk of their Abba covers compilation and a rendition of Peter Gabriels Solsbury Hill serve as a nice complement to the sets first half, which is frontloaded with the usual 80s classics like A Little Respect and Chains Of Love. ~ Kenneth Herzog|
