SUPER HITS presents a quickie introduction to Adam and the Ants for those who missed his campy forays into pop culture during his early '80s heyday. Concentrating on that time period, the album manages to find space, within its concise ten tracks, for both his better-known singles as well as more obscure material. Ant made a splash at the onset of the decade with the delirious bragging of "Antmusic," a peculiar boast that toasts its own bizarre assimilation of tribal drums and '50s guitar. Also represented is the more rewarding "Press Darlings" which slights famed English rock critic Nick Kent. Ant's fascination with pirates and Indians reached its apex with the propulsive "Stand and Deliver." Ant next became an MTV darling with the cute "Goody Two Shoes." An odd cover of the Door's "Hello, I Love You" is included as well as the little known "Mohair Locker Room Pin-up Boy."
