This album presents the very last recordings of this great reggae vocalist. After a period of diminished recording activity, Prince Far I went back into the studio with producer Roy Cousins in September 1983. With his voice in top shape, and the Roots Radics band providing the sharp rhythms, these six new tracks rank among his best. "Special Request" sends out love to all musicians, while "Jerry Doghead" and "Survival" are haunting pre-cognitive tales. In the former, Far I speaks of his friend Jerry who was shot dead by hoodlums, and then spins a piece about the killers themselves. Prince Far I was shot down by the same hoodlums the day after these pieces were recorded, another tragically irreplaceable loss to music. Instrumental versions of all the tracks are added to flesh the whole out to album length.
