The Blue Collar Comedy Tour was like the World Series of redneck humor. Four of the genre's most beloved practitioners hit the road together, bringing down the house night after night with their patented brand of homespun hilarity. The subsequent, seemingly inevitable film of that tour has resulted in an audio companion. The BLUE COLLAR COMEDY TOUR captures some of the funniest moments from the movie, giving all four comedians a chance to shine. Ron White's regular-guy routine is full of hysterical trailer-trash vignettes that capture the audience's imagination. Bill Engvall is probably the least overt in terms of "hick schtick," but his sentiments nevertheless lie squarely with his Blue Collar brethren. Larry the Cable Guy makes Andrew Dice Clay seem hoity-toity, with his exaggerated accent and purposefully dumber-than-thou agenda. Jeff Foxworthy is the best known of the group, and is the man who brought this kind of comedy to the mainstream. His segment naturally includes his famous "You Might Be a Redneck" bit, which is pretty much the Blue Collar Comedy fan's national anthem, and serves well as the flagship for these down-home funnymen.
