I'm giving this album 5 stars although it's based solely on the song "Shima". I saw the band perform the song on the last episode of "Churasan 3" and they sounded awesome. It's nice to see more of these indies bands with a strong connection to the music of Okinawa make their way into mainstream J-pop music. Chibariyo!

I really love Cocco's music as well as her art books and I'm very happy that she's recording music again. I'm looking forward to the release of this song even though it's a remake of one of her older ones.

Parsha Club

Parsha cluB is my most favorite band from Okinawa. This is the band's latest album and the first from their own indies label, Office Parsha. Although it's not my favorite album of theirs (which is 1996's "Nanafa") it's still worth a listen.

The 1st Album (沖縄口版)

This is a pretty good debut album for this cute duo from Okinawa. If you're a fan of Rinken Band's music (the leader of the group, Rinken Teruya is their producer), this is a must for your collection. The only drawback (or a plus) is that it's not new material but songs from past Rinken Band albums. I'm looking forward to their 2nd album which is being released on 9/1/02.
