あの大人気ボックスシリーズ『Stax Singles』のVol.4がついに発売!
本作は 『Rarities & The Best Of The Rest』はSTAX設立60周年を記念して、Craft Records(Concordにできたカタログ再発レーベル)とワーナー傘下のRhinoの協力の下実現。
このVol.4のコンセプトは「STAXファンの間では何年もの間、B面も安定して評価され続けている。』共同プロデューサービル・ベルモントは話す。さらにプロデューサー、ロブ・ボウマン曰く「STAXのB面は、ほとんどの場合他の会社のA面よりもよかったりする。」さらにベルモントは加える、「STAXの別の面ということでまとめたものはこれまでになかった。全てSTAXの下で作られた楽曲であるのですべてスタックスの傘の下に集められて 「すべてがすべてである」という包括的なルーブリックの一部としてリリース。
1968年初頭にアトランティックとスタックスが分裂していたが、2017年の設立60周年で互いにそれぞれ持つカタログを見直しLPを続々リリース、またアイザック・ヘイズのボックスやオーティス・レディングのモノ盤なども!2018年はこのレア・トラックを集めたボックスに加え、続々とこれまで出ていなかったLP盤などが予定されています。
